Alexander McQueen: Pre SS13 RTW

I came across these photos the other day of the Alexander McQueen Pre Spring/Summer 13 Ready to Wear collection and all I can say is Sarah Burton has once again knocked it out the park. The collection consists on smart tailoring and majestic dresses with metallics and exquisite embroidery and Obi belts synching in the waistline.
I will say I am very impressed, and while I know I’ll never be able to afford anything like them you have to appreciate the mastery, thought and skill that will have gone into each and every garment. My personal favorites are the black and gold halter necked gown and the silver jumpsuit, both with the Obi chain belts.

To see more of the collection here.

Which looks do you love?

Lookbook: Holiday Style - Kotor, Montenegro

Jumper - H&M
Vest (not seen) - Topshop
Skirt - Vintage
Bag - Matalan
Shoes - Topshop

This is the outfit I wore after our cruise ship left Kotor in Montenegro for the evening. It had been a beautiful day but unfortunately I was too busy enjoying myself to remember to take a photo of what I wore during the day.

I just wanted something relaxed and summery but since there was a chill in the air conditioning on the boat I threw on my short sleeved jumper to stop myself getting too cold.

Kotor was really picturesque with the mountains and little winding cobbled streets, and there were loads of cats!

On our way to Kotor port

A Church, the two pillars read '809' and '2009'

Some lovely kittens that were willing to have their photos taken.

Flowers and doll outside a hotel

The walls of the town

Our beautiful sunset on the way out of Kotor.

Just in case you missed it my Venice post is here.

Have you ever been? What did you think of Kotor?

Lookbook: Holiday Style - Venice

Thin Cardigan - Yes Style.com
Vest - Topshop
Belt - Primark
Skirt - Camden Market
Shoes - Topsop
Bag - H&M

So I'll ask that you please ignore my hair, after a terrible delay of about 9 and a half hours we Finally made it to Venice so I whipped my hair up. Then unfortunately we got rained on. Never mind.

My outfit was inspired to feel nautical without going for the classic of sailor stripes. The skirt has a wheel and anchor pattern on it and with the blue and white colouring and boat shoes I felt like it all seemed to fit into place.

Venice was amazing, although I didn't get very long there as our Cruise ship left at 2pm local time. So i guess I will just have to go back. Here's some of my photos.

The Rialto Bridge

The Grand Canal

Venice

St Marks Square

Bridge of Sighs

Have you ever been to Venice? What would you recommend I see when I go back?

And I'm Back...

Back off of my cruise, which I had an amazing time at apart from the horrendous start that we had with a 9 Hour delay at the airport for a 2 hour flight, not a great start. However once we got over the loss of our first day of holiday we had a splendid time and my Dad throughly enjoyed his birthday. I still have to unpack, which to be honest I want to put off so I can pretend I haven't come back to this horrid British weather we're still having. I have some photos of share with you, outfits and holiday photos but I'll get them up over the next few days.

For now I'll leave you with a photo from my trip.

One Bikini, Two Bikini...

As I'm still all about my holidays and packing I thought I'd share this ingenious idea I saw somewhere. For short holidays or holidays where you wont need to wear a swimsuit often, but you still want to have the variety try this idea. Buy 2 Bikinis in colours that compliment each other. They could clash, both be patterned, just one could be or could both be plain. If you are going for a print make sure that your plain bikini is one of the colours in your patterned bikini. and Mix and match!

So these are my Bikinis for my holiday, and because the colours are so similar instead of having just two bikinis I get four!

Saving you some space in your suitcase for something else. Granted swimwear never really takes up that much luggage allowance or space but if you were going for a beach weekend and had limited allowance this will save you a small but precious amount.

Hope you are enjoying my packing idea posts. Would you like to see more?
Bon Voyage!

Happy Diamond Jubilee!!

Hope everyone in the UK is enjoying their long weekend. I've been thoroughly enjoying mine, unfortunately I may have caught a cold, so I'm going to try to recover before my holidays. Today i just wanted to share some of my photos of my favorite London moments.

Picnics in the Park, this was taken on the evening of the Royal Wedding, everyone was just chilling out and chatting on St. James Park

The Globe Theatre, so amazing and inspirational, inside and out.

The Gates near The Tower of London

The Tower of London, amazing to walk around and the Crown Jewels are absolutely breathtaking, even if my friend and I were giggling and listening to 'The Thieving Magpie' while looking at them. Unfortunately you may only get that reference if you watched BBC's Sherlock.

Tower Bridge, this view is from inside the walls of the Tower of London.

Trafalgar Square, such a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by.

Buckingham Palace, day or night you cannot help but admire how amazing this building is from the outside. One day I will get round to doing a tour of the inside.

The National Theatre, where most of my theatre trips end up. I've lost count of how many plays I've seen here but they are always impressive and/or thought provoking.

The Udder-belly Comedy Festival On South bank last year. My friend had taken me to the National Theatre to see Frankenstien for my birthday and we walked past this. It was part of the festival, a large outdoor beer garden right on south bank.

Covent Garden at Christmas, the vendors, decorations, entertainers and atmosphere are lovely.

Covent Garden at Christmas, Magical.

The National Portrait Gallery at Christmas, on Trafalgar Square, it was chilly and deserted but looked so amazing all lit up.

--
The View of Southbank. I love this area of London, so nice to stop at a pub on the river on a walk from Tower Bridge to Westminster for a glass of Pimms and some people watching.

Buckingham Palace after the Royal Wedding 29-04-11, such an amazing atmosphere, I'll never forget it.
The London Eye
Me and the Queen, even if she was made of lego and displayed in Hamleys

The Crown (lego) Jewels, do you think they'd mind if I borrowed them?

Hope you enjoy my photos and whatever you are doing today, enjoying yourselves.

Have you ever been to London? What are your favorite places and memories?
