Let Them Eat... Ladurée

  Maybe it is my sweet tooth or the idea of luxury, maybe it’s because I have been re-learning French or maybe it’s just because they were on my bucket list but when I was visiting London Last week I treated myself to some Macaroons from Ladurée. Everything about the little patisserie I visited on Piccadilly end of the Burlington Arcade says decadence. Beautiful gold gilded display cases, prices in gold renaissance inspired frames, towers of macaroons and wonderful gift boxes for your purchases if you are buying for someone special {or treating yourself like me}.

I decided to try Dark Chocolate, Vanilla, Rose, Orange Blossom, Lemon, Marie Antoinette and Salted Caramel. I think depending on your tastes are I think depends on whether you will like them, I’m not a fan of coconut {which I’m told is used to make them} however I did enjoy these. They certainly wouldn’t be an everyday treat at £1.70 a Macaroon but as a one off they were fantastic. The only ones I didn’t particularly like were Rose as its flavour was so powerful and the Marie Antoinette.

Help! I'm in a Rut...

Hello Blogger boys and girls. Sorry I know I said I was back form my hiatus but it appears life has got maddeningly busy again so I will try to post when I can but it will probably be very infrequent until I finish my course in the summer. 

So what has been happening? Well I’m planning a few changes to my blog which I’m hoping will make everything much easier to navigate and bringing the posting in a little bit more focused and personal and not so much like I’m trying to write a magazine article, though I may still keep my trend reports as I do thoroughly love researching them. Hopefully there will be a few more OOTDs too, so if you have been enjoying my blog please stick around to see the changes. 

Today however I’m hoping for a bit of help. I’m feeling stuck in a rut with my current shopping and style stores {especially since I seem to gravitate to the same stores constantly} so I am hoping you can help me! Please can you recommend some UK based retailers or Online shopping sites that ship to the UK for me to check out?

Please excuse the quality of the full length photo its one I had taken on my iPhone. Last night i went out to the Casino with my work friends for dinner and a bit of roulette. I came away with £10, so I felt like a bit of a high flyer {haha} but this is what I wore.
